DIY All Natural Cleaning Sprays

One comment

I love an all natural cleaning solutions, but let’s face it, sometimes all this natural product can get expensive. To save a little money I have been making my own cleaning solutions and they have worked great.

Not only are you saving money by making your own cleaning solutions, but it is also healthier to use non chemicals sprays that can cause many health problems. Even the best store bought cleaners often contain dozens of toxic ingredients, upping the amount of chemicals we put into our homes and the air we breath.

Making your own solutions is also better for the environment. The chemicals found in conventional cleaning products aren’t just toxic to humans. They also have an extremely negative impact on our environment, particularly sea life. These chemicals are only partly removed by wastewater treatment plants. These are the reason I started making my own cleaning sprays. And here are the three I use on a daily basis.

For an all purpose cleaning spray, I use a simple solution of only two ingredients.

2 cup Distilled Water

1 tsp Castile soap

1 glass spray bottle

Mix ingredients in a glass bottle and your ready to clean. Here is another all purpose cleaner.

1 1/2 distilled water

1/2 cup vinegar

1 tsp Castile Soap

1-5 drops essential oils

1 glass spray bottle

For essential oil I like to use lemon or orange. It just gives it a fresh clean smell, but you can use oil of your choice. Some popular essential oils are lavender, tea tree, eucalyptus and peppermint.

My last recipe is a disinfectant spray. I use this a lot in my bathroom.

1 1/4 cup distilled water

1/4 cup white vinegar

1/4 cup vodka or rubbing alcohol

10-15 drops essential oils. ( lavender with lemon smells great)

Glass bottle

Mix all ingredients in the glass bottle. Give it a good shake. Wait a few minutes and start cleaning.

Hope you enjoyed these recipes. Please like, comment and share.
